The United States of America has imposed new sanctions against two judges and two deputy prosecutors of the International Criminal Court. The individuals targeted by the sanctions are foreign nationals who directly participated in the ICC's activities concerning the investigation, arrest, detention, or prosecution of US or Israeli citizens without the consent of these states. The actions of the ICC are considered by the US to be politicized and a threat to national security. The new sanctions were imposed based on a presidential decree.
